Dredge the Vermilion (DTV) has joined our Engineering Advisor Pam Granger to our DTV Board of Directors and her team in supporting their efforts to provide relief supplies to hurricane victims in St. Mary Parish.
Pam’s request is below:
“PLEASE PLEASE OUR FIRST RESPONDERS ARE IN NEED OF AIR MATRESSES, SHEETS, PILLOWS AND SOCKS in addition to all the normal cleaning supplies, food, water and toiletries. Many lineman, first responders as well as our neighbors that lost so much would love a place to sleep. Many are sleeping in their trucks and in severe need for something better so they can rest.ย  If you can please add air mattresses, sheets, pillows and socks to your donations it would be greatly appreciated. Our Goal is to collect 50+. We brought 32 so far.”
We challenge our DTV friends to help Pam reach the Parish’s goal of 50+.
These supplies are heading to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Department for setting up a camp for the first responders and for distribution to the public in need.
Here are the following ways to help support this effort:
  • Purchase any of these items and drop off to Bead Busters and Float Rentals on Bonin Road in Youngsville
  • Contact Pamela Granger at [email protected] if you prefer to donate for someone to purchase the items for you and drop them off (Pam has offered to do this for many individuals already)
  • Make a contribution to the Dredge the Vermilion via check and place a subject line or description as “Hurricane Relief for St. Mary Parish First Responders Lodging”
  • Make a contribution via the Dredge the Vermilion website and send us an email at [email protected]ย  and indicate in the emailย  the contribution is for “Hurricane Relief for St. Mary Parish First Responders Lodging”

We can do this!!!!
Thanks in advance.
